1st Day of VSL Spring Course - Ngày Khai Giảng Lớp Việt Ngữ

The first VSL Course at Truc Viet started right on Lunar New Year's Day. Students learned how to say "Chúc Mừng Năm Mới" (Happy New Year), a little bit more about Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), and had fun practicing basic Vietnamese and receiving the traditional Lì Xì in red envelopes. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support and wish you a New Year of the Rooster full of good health, happiness, and success! CHÚC MỪNG NĂM MỚI! Lớp Đàm Thoại Việt Ngữ Khoá Mùa Xuân được khai giảng đúng vào ngày Mồng Một Tết Đinh Dậu. Học viên có cơ hội tập nói "Chúc Mừng Năm Mới, hiểu thêm một chút về phong tục Tết Việt Nam, tập một số lời chào hỏi giao tiếp căn bản, và thích thú nhận lì xì. Nhân dịp xuân về, chúng tôi xin chân thành cảm ơn tất cả những hỗ trợ của quý vị và kính chúc quý vị một Năm Mới Đinh Dậu dồi dào sức khoẻ, hạnh phúc, may mắn và thành công! CHÚC MỪNG NĂM MỚI! Continued with the New Year celebration. Teamed up with APAPA and Travis County to register new voters. Tiếp tục vui xuân Đinh Dậu tại Trung Tâm Chinatown. Hợp tác với APAPA và Quận Travis ghi danh cử tri.

Students, it has been a pleasure having you in class! Thank you so much for your participation and your interest not only in the Vietnamese language but also in the Vietnamese culture.
Teachers and TA's, thank you so much for your volunteering works. Truc Viet is really lucky to have you assisting us in teaching the Vietnamese language as well as sharing many wonderful facts about the Vietnamese culture from all walks of life. We concluded the course with delicious Vietnamese food, a fun Jeopardy game and a presentation and discussion about the Vietnamese Tea Ceremony and Wedding Traditions. Congratulations to the 2017 Spring VSL Jeopardy Champions Sarah Hanson, Brandon Buck, and Phuoc Bui! Have a great Summer and hope to see you again in the Fall classes!
1st Day of VSL Fall Sessions - Ngày Khai Giảng Khoá Mùa Thu

Truc Viet VSL Fall Classes had a great start!!! We now have two classes, Level 1 for beginners with no prior exposure or with minimal knowledge of the language, and Level 2 for those who have completed Level 1 course or who can read and write basic Vietnamese passages, including the complete alphabet with tones and diacritics. We are very excited and looking forward to next week already.
Khoá Mùa Thu đã bắt đầu!!! Bây giờ chúng ta có hai lớp, Lớp 1 Vỡ Lòng cho những ai chưa từng biết gì hoặc biết rất ít về Tiếng Việt, và Lớp 2 Trung Cấp cho những ai đã học xong Lớp 1 hoặc những ai có thể đọc và viết những câu đơn giản, quen thuộc với bản mẫu tự, thanh, và dấu.
